Headaches

I was actually sent home from work today. I had the most blinding headache (not a migraine, I have the joys of them as well) a make my head hurt to the point I can't think headache.

I need to make an eye appointment, I think I may need a new prescription. I also need to make an appointment for a massage. I have been spending A LOT of time staring at the computer so I'm guessing the headache is either a muscle issue or an eye issue. Keep your fingers crossed it's one of the two because food/water/caffeine and pain meds are not working their regular magic and I can't keep leaving work for this.

I feel your pain. I've been having headache problems too. A massage sounds like a good idea - I just went for a 2nd one today (also had one a week ago) and my headaches have been much better since a couple of days after the first massage. The RMT spent a fair bit of time on my neck and shoulders and said that she wasn't surprised that I was getting headaches.

Definitely call tomorrow and make an appointment!

I sure hope that helps! I get debilitating headaches too (not migraines) and they SUCK. I know sometimes mine are related to too much computer time.

Are you on any prescription prevention migraine medications? I just ask because they can lead to vision problems, as I am finding out... what I have been taking to prevent my migraines may actually be leading to permanent vision loss. Though, it is a toss-up, since I get migraines on a weekly basis without them (and they last for 2 days) -- I may choose near blindness.

Mamabeek- I hope it helps too. I felt like I was on the verge of a headache all day yesterday and woke up feeling like that today too.

EB- No, they wanted to do that a while ago but I refused. I really don't get migraines that often so I didn't want to have to take meds for them everyday. I went through a bad time where I was getting them all the time but I was lucky that they stopped. I am so sorry you have to go through that, shit what a choice - go near blind or have migraines. I too an afraid I'd choose near blindness given that I can barely see when I have a migraine anyway never mind all the other symptoms.
