Vacation Read Recommendations

I leave next Saturday for a 9 day beach vacation! I have not taken any vacation time since March and I so need this time way. I am looking forward to 9 days of doing absolutely nothing.

So with that in mind I am looking for recommendations for mindless beach reads... please share anything you've read that fit this bill.

Browsing through blogs online and found your request. Do you read chic lit? I just finished "Something borrowed" and "Something blue" by emily giffin. Also enjoy reading Jennifer Weiner, nice no thinking required books.

Thanks for the comment Rented Life. I have actually red both of Emily Giffin's books and everything Jennifer Winer has written. I have a chick lit obsession. :)

I'm embarrassed to admit that I read the Twilight series while on vacation this year. It was an easy read and satisfied my relaxed-reading-while-on-vacation bill. :)

I'm w/ caroline, I liked Twilight too. But recently I just read a few pretty good non-fiction books which were not too dry if you like paleontology, or field work:

Lucy's Legacy: The Quest for Human Origins by Donald Johanson

A Primates Memoir by Robert Sapolsky

The First Human: race to discover our earliest ancestors by Ann Gibbons
(she does a great job of telling the story of the cut throat race of scientists in paleontology)
